Booking Cancellation:

Clients must transfer 50% of the total cost directly to our accounts at least 21 days prior to the safari in order to ensure reservation. Failure to make the payment will result in an unguaranteed reservation.

When to Book

It is advisable to make bookings as early as possible to secure accommodation and guides, particularly during peak periods such as July-August and Christmas. This is particularly important for clients seeking private safaris and customized itineraries.

Cancellation and Refunds:

For cancellations made 60 days (2 months) prior to the safari, clients are eligible for a refund of 70%. If cancellation occurs within a month before the scheduled safari, clients are entitled to a refund of 50%. However, cancellations made 1 to 21 days prior to the safari will not be refunded.

Transportation and Subcontractors Policy for Nakuja Expeditions

The type of vehicle used for passenger transportation may vary based on weather conditions, with options including a Land Rover, Land Cruiser, or Minibus. Passengers are encouraged to inform the company in advance if they have a preference for a specific type of vehicle. Additionally, Nakuja Expeditions reserves the right to hire subcontractors as needed.

Price List

The pricing quotations provided by our company include the cost of lodge and hotel accommodations, meals, park fees, and the fees for drivers and tour guides. However, it’s important to note that the cost of alcohol and accommodations that are not listed with our company are not included in the quotes.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for Nakuja Expeditions

Accepted payment methods for our services include bank transfers and cash, and we also accept credit card payments. To secure a reservation, clients are required to make a payment of 50% of the total cost before the safari, with the remaining balance due 3 weeks (21 days) prior to arrival. Please note that failure to pay the remaining balance on time may result in cancellation of the reservation.

Online Payment

If you prefer to make payments online, you may use our online payment system. Please note that a 5% surcharge applies to credit card transactions made through this system.

Currency and Payment Recommendations for Nakuja Expedition

We accept US Dollars and Euros as foreign currencies, but do not accept traveler’s checks. ATMs are available in major banks and in larger cities. To ensure convenience during the trip, we recommend that clients carry loose cash with them.

Mountain climbing

Rates for mountain climbing include:

• Entry fees
• Fees for huts, camps and supplies—table and chairs, foam mattress, tents, mess tent, bathroom facilities, rescue fees, porters, tour guides and cooks
• Meals, transport to and from mountain gate
• Oxygen Supplies

Insurance and Responsibility

Nakuja Expeditions acts solely as an agent for the client and therefore cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property or injuries sustained during the trip. Travelers are strongly advised to obtain baggage insurance to protect their belongings.

Alteration to Tours

Nakuja Expeditions reserves the right to modify or cancel safaris/tours in certain circumstances, as well as the right to refuse an individual(s) from joining a tour at any time. In such cases, a refund will be issued to the client.

Changes to Itinerary:

We reserve the right to make changes to your itinerary for safety reasons or other unforeseen circumstances. We will make every effort to provide you with a comparable alternative.

Liability

Nakuja Expeditions, its staff, and subcontractors act solely as agents for transportation, tours, and other services, and therefore cannot be held liable for any losses, damages, or injuries sustained by clients during the trip. In the case of criminal offenses, the laws of the country will apply.

Accommodation

In general, rooms/tents will be shared by two people during the trip. However, private rooms and bathrooms can be requested when available at an additional cost. Clients who prefer private accommodation at hotels are advised to avoid making changes to their bookings to ensure a guaranteed reservation.

Camping Safaris

Nakuja Expeditions offers camping safaris as well as lodges.

Each 4×4 vehicle has a maximum capacity of 5 to 7 passengers. To optimize wildlife viewing, clients are advised to sit at the window seats to have a better view of the outdoors.
