DAY 01: TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

Once you arrive at Kigali International Airport and complete the necessary immigration procedures, our safari driver will greet you and provide a brief introduction before transporting you to your reserved accommodation at the Kigali Marriott Hotel.

DAY02: VISIT KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL & TRANSFER TO BWINDI: TRAVEL TIME 

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a drive to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Grounds. This site serves as a tribute to the over one million Rwandans who lost their lives during the tragic events of 1994 and provides education and peace-building efforts. While there, you will have the opportunity to view video clips featuring survivors sharing their stories. Afterwards, you will continue your journey with a scenic drive to Bwindi and arrive at your reserved accommodation in time for a late lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the next day’s trekking adventure. You will be staying at the Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla’s Lodge and meals will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

DAY 03: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE:

Start your day with a cup of coffee and prepare for the briefing from Uganda wildlife officials. Then, head into the jungle to search for the elusive mountain gorillas and observe their natural behavior in their natural habitat. Once you find them, spend an hour in their presence, gazing into their expressive eyes. To fully enjoy the gorilla safari, make sure you have a reasonable level of fitness, comfortable walking shoes, packed food and water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. The duration of the gorilla tracking experience varies depending on the movement of the primates and may take a half or whole day. This unforgettable experience will provide you with insightful memories for a lifetime. Spend your afternoon relaxing at your lodge and take part in the Batwa experience to learn more about their social life before having dinner and spending the night at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorillas Lodge.

DAY 04: CANOE RIDE AND TRANSFER TO KIGALI:

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will board a jeep for an exciting canoe ride adventure on Lake Bunyonyi. This stunning lake, nestled within the magnificent valleys of Kisoro, boasts several picturesque islands that are home to a variety of bird species. After your canoeing experience, you will return to Kigali with an en route lunch. If time allows, you may also opt for a brief visit to Kimironko local market for a market tour and shopping before heading back to your hotel for a night treat and dinner at Kigali Marriot Hotel.

DAY 05: FLY OUT- KIGALI RWANDA-SERENGETI:

Upon your arrival from Rwanda, our guide will pick you up from Lamai Airstrip in Northern Serengeti. After having a bush lunch, you will embark on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. The specific areas to be visited will depend on the location of the migrating herds, as predators tend to follow closely behind them. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. Conversely, during the longer rainy season from April to June, they return up north. Although the location of the herds may vary from year to year based on rainfall, your guide will know where to find them and the best spots to observe them. In addition to wildebeests and zebras, you may also have the chance to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You will spend another night at Lamai Tented Camp.

DAY 06: FULL GAME VIEW IN SERENGETI:

If you wish, an early morning game drive at dawn to catch the sunrise in the Serengeti can be arranged with your safari guide the night before. After breakfast, you’ll spend the whole day on a game drive in the area. The Mara River area has a high number of resident wildlife, including prides of lions up to 30 strong. From July to October, the area becomes a wildlife paradise, with the Mara River being a key feature. Although it’s difficult to find a herd crossing the river, it’s not uncommon to see one on either side of the river and they may decide to cross a couple of days later. In addition to this, you will also have the opportunity to experience a balloon safari in the Serengeti during this time. Your overnight stay will be at Lamai tented camp with all meals included.

DAY 07:  GAME DRIVE NORTHERN SERENGETI TO WESTERN SERENGETI:

If you desire, we can arrange an early morning game drive in the Serengeti at sunrise. It is recommended to discuss this with your safari guide the previous night. Following breakfast, you can enjoy a full day game drive in the Mara River area, where resident wildlife populations are abundant, with prides of up to 30 lions. From July to October, this area transforms into a wildlife haven, with the Mara River being the focal point. It is not unusual to witness herds crossing the river from north to west or vice versa, but finding a crossing can be challenging and often requires luck. Sometimes, a herd can be seen close to the river but may decide not to cross until a few days later. Your overnight stay, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included, will be at the luxurious SingitaFaruFaru Lodge.

DAY 08: FULL GAME WESTERN  SERENGETI -CENTRAL SERENGETI

After a relaxed breakfast, we will depart for the Central Serengeti, which is known as one of the most abundant wildlife areas in the park. The Mara River flows through this region, providing a vital water source for the animals and attracting a diverse range of species found in the Serengeti. Following our arrival in the area, we will have lunch and proceed to embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the Serengeti National Park. We will spend the night at the SingitaFarufaru lodge.

DAY 09: WESTERN, CENTRAL SERENGETI-NGORONGORO

You can fly from Serengeti to Manyara Airstrip after arrive just one hour driving to Ngorongoro Crater lodge or driving way back from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro conservation area Overnight: Ngorongoro Crater lodge.

DAY 10: CRATER –KARATU

After breakfast, we will drive down over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, making it a home to a diverse range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. In addition, the dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, and leopards, is another major attraction of this stunning conservation area, although spotting the elusive leopard may require a trained eye. Later in the afternoon, we will head to Karatu for dinner and overnight at The Manoor Hotel.

DAY 11: KARATU  TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK:

After enjoying your breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, which is located about 95km from the Karatu area. This park is Tanzania’s third largest and is renowned for its large elephant herds. The park also boasts of baobab trees that are beautifully scattered throughout, and it is a sanctuary for about 550 bird species. The Tarangire River is the only water source that runs throughout the year and attracts a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, providing a spectacular view of the park’s biodiversity. Our professional guide will serve you lunch at the designated picnic site. Later in the afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha where we will spend the night at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.

DAY 12: ARUSHA /DEPARTURE

This day will be a busy one as you prepare for your outbound flight through Kilimanjaro International Airport, which includes shopping and getting your luggage ready.
